Welcome to Paradise Valley Foot and Ankle, where we are committed to provide our patients with the highest level of care involving the lower extremity. Both of our physicians completed extensive surgical training through Harvard Medical School, where each was honored as a Clinical Fellow in Surgery. In addition to the treatment of immediate or chronic problems, our physicians integrate the principle of prevention within all of our treatment plans to lessen the potential for future problems.

YOUR DOCTORS

Dr. Kyle Vaughn

As founder of Paradise Valley Foot & Ankle, Dr. Kyle Vaughn is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages. Dr. Vaughn is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive/Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Vaughn specializes in complex reconstruction of the foot and ankle, adult and pediatric flatfoot reconstruction, revision reconstructive surgery, adult and juvenile bunion correction, and management of lower extremity trauma in adults and children.

Dr. Vaughn completed his surgical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, a level one trauma center, in Boston, Massachusetts where he served as chief resident. While in Boston, Dr. Vaughn held an appointment of Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vaughn received his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Vaughn believes in treating his patients conservatively yet is well versed in the most effective surgical techniques modern medicine has to offer. Dr. Vaughn is an expert in both forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstruction as well as non-invasive treatments of the lower extremity.

Dr. Jason Kayce

Dr. Jason Kayce is one of few Arizona surgeons to hold two distinct Board Certifications by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery®. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive/Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He specializes in both surgical and conservative management of the lower extremity. Dr. Kayce is skilled in sports medicine, arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, trauma, adult and pediatric lower extremity pathology, and other deformities related to the foot and ankle. Dr. Kayce is an expert in bunion deformity correction and focuses on surgical techniques to allow immediate weightbearing post-operatively.

Dr. Jason Kayce is at the forefront of regenerative medicine, utilizing stem cells, platelet rich plasma (PRP), and amniotic tissue products to expedite and advance the treatment of his patients. He joined Paradise Valley Foot and Ankle after completion of his residency training at Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, MA, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. During his post-graduate training he was honored as a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School and served as Chief Resident of the Podiatric Surgery Department. Throughout his post-graduate education Dr. Kayce received comprehensive training in orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, emergency and internal medicines, infectious disease, rheumatology, and endocrinology.

Dr. Jason Kayce further advanced his training through extensive independent coursework to include fellowship trained advanced surgical skills workshops. Dr. Kayce is an Associate Professor at the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University, teaching the next generation of foot and ankle surgeons. Dr. Kayce lectures throughout the region as an expert regarding medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Jason Kayce received his medical degree (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where he served as the President of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine student chapter. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He is humbled by the opportunity to help others and volunteers extensively throughout the community, including volunteer work with the Boston Athletic Association, where he served as a medical volunteer and first responder at the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2013.

He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston and remains a loyal fan to the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. He is an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, hiking, golfing, and spending time with his wife, children, and dogs.

Dr. Sarah Ahn

Dr. Sarah Ahn is a foot and ankle surgeon who recently moved from the San Francisco Bay area to join the practice. Dr. Ahn performs a wide array of treatments with special interest in sports medicine, surgery, trauma, and diabetic lower extremity care.

Dr. Ahn completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago with accreditation in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. She completed her doctorate in podiatric medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ahn has been a leader in her profession, serving on national organizational leadership. During her involvement with the American Podiatric Medical Students’ Association House of Delegates, she was honored with the APMSA Leadership Award for her service to the organization. Dr. Ahn also has a breadth of research interests, which she has presented at numerous conferences. She was awarded the Wound Care Podiatrist Scholarship by the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care for her contributions and research in wound care.

Dr. Ahn has completed advanced surgical training in comprehensive internal fixation, external fixation methods and ankle arthroscopy. In addition to working with renowned foot and ankle surgeons throughout her training, Dr. Ahn was privileged to train with internationally recognized foot and ankle surgeons in the United Kingdom and Germany.

In her practice, Dr. Ahn’s main focus is providing exceptional patient care on an individualized basis in the full range of podiatric services. She is interested in understanding the needs and goals of each patient to provide the most effective treatment.

In her free time, Dr. Ahn enjoys running, hot yoga and fitness boxing. She also loves volunteering and engaging in her community. She was born and raised in Chicago and is happy to have all her favorite pizza chains here in Arizona!

URGENT CARE

If you have, unfortunately, sustained a foot or ankle injury which requires medical attention, our office holds available appointments for same day evaluation. We understand Emergency Room co-pays can be expensive and wait times can be exhaustive. We offer our urgent care service to expedite your diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. If your insurance plan requires a referral to visit a medical specialist, please obtain such a referral prior to your appointment.
